BANGKIRAI / YELLOW BALAU DECKING

Bangkirai / Yellow Balau looks very much like teak in colour but is very dense and its hardness is about 50% higher than that of Oak. Bangkirai’s texture is very fine and even with few knots. It machines well to give an excellent finish to the product and one could say the wood species Bangkirai is practically flawless as a decking product.

For many years, Bangkirai has been used for shipbuilding, railway sleepers, telegraph poles and beer casks, because of its excellent strength and weather.

IPE DECKING & DECK TILES

IPE Decking is the finest and most richly distinctive hardwood decking on the market. It is knot free and has high decay and termite resistance. Ipe is five times harder than pressure treated lumber. Known to the general public and recognized by professionals, Ipe is not famous without reason. Indeed, its intrinsic qualities are the delight of outdoor structures all over the world. The terrace at the National Library in Paris or the boardwalk by the sea in Atlantic City testify to the resistance and aesthetic qualities of Ipé.

Due to the extreme density of the wood, it will not cup, bow, or twist like treated pine and has a life expectancy of 25 years (US LaB Certification)
NFPA UBC I fire rating is the same as steel and concrete
