PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

> Solid maritime pine cladding panels finger-jointed jointing, Class III treatment
Knot-free, no resin-filled cavities. Dipping treatment.

> Micro finger-joint
This technique merges the timber joints into the weathered grain effect of the wood for a subtle and attractive finish.

> UV-resistant acrylic-based satin-finish paint with micropores
The paint is air-permeable to allow the wood to breathe. It is treated with fungicide, insecticide and termite-proof treatments, and is industrially applied through multi-layer spray-painting (back face included) to ensure one of the best coverage ratios on the market. 10-year guarantee.

> Brushed surface
The front face of the panelling is brushed after planing, in order to bring out the wood’s natural grain. Brushing the wood along its grain also forestalls natural timber weathering processes and enhances the surface hardness of the cladding product, in order to better withstand impacts.

> Smooth-finished edges
This technique ensures a perfect visual and aesthetic continuity and maximum paint adhesion. It also enables an easier water run-off.

> Easy to fit
The V-shaped groove means that tacks can be perfectly aligned, making the tacking process much easier.

> Hidden attachment system
The panels are designed with an off-set upper tongue piece to slot into a groove, ensuring that all securing attachments are hidden.

> Provision for dimensional variations
An expansion slot is cut into the tongue and groove fi tting to allow for dimensional variations.

> Tongue and groove end-joints
The tongue-and-groove joint system at the end of each panel promotes perfect continuity over the full length of the
wall and reduces off-cuts. This system also means that the joint between two panels can be located between the two attachment slats.

ACCESSORIES

The YACHTING range comes with all the accessories required for your project, including an aluminium ventilation grill and maritime pine corner trimmings painted to match the panels. Paints in all YACHTING colours can be bought separately. Having a pot of paint when fi tting the panels means that any other wood used for intersections in corners and around windows can be painted and protected (this is a requirement for the 10-year guarantee to be applicable).
The paint can also be used to touch up small areas that may have been damaged during fi tting and to carryout the recommended maintenance during the 5 or 10-year warranty period.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The multiple coat paint treatment on YACHTING panelling products comes with a 10-year warranty. This 10- year period is guaranteed for West- and South-facing panels, which are particularly sensitive to the elements, and panels that are less highly exposed should last even longer.

Choosing light colours will also contribute to the life of the paint coating, given their resistance to thermal shock and their greater refl ectivity than dark colours. After these initial periods, the cladding can be washed and repainted with acrylic paint, applied with a brush or spray gun, to restore its original appearance. This renewal coat should be applied before the coat has decreased too much, in order to ensure adhesion to the backing. Following this repaint, YACHTING panelling products will regain their initial appearance. In particularly damp locations, for North-facing surfaces or seaside locations, surface must, like an old mould growth and other deposits may need to be removed by gentle scrubbing with a brush and water, to avoid
these growths detracting from the initial finish.

High-pressure spray cleaning systems should not be used, nor should inappropriate cleaning products. South-and West-facing cladding panels should be cleaned every 5 years with soft water and a gentle soap product, using a sponge or soft brush.
